Birkdale School
Birkdale is a typical private day-school with an atmosphere which we love: mix of old-fashioned discipline (uniform) with a very modern and open-minded teaching approach.
The sport spirit belongs to the philosophy of this school where the sports facilities in and out of the main campus are excellent.
Our goals :
- To pass the GCSE exams.
- To obtain a better level in English for non-English speakers by being integrated into a private English school (one term to one year).
- To improve the student’s football level.
All the boys follow a wide range of academically challenging subjects which extend well beyond the National Curriculum requirements. Intellectual curiosity is encouraged at all ages.
Small class sizes at GCSE of 20 pupils maximum and in the Sixth Form of 15 pupils, ensure that each have the guidance and encouragement needed to help them achieve their personal best academically.
The pupils can choose between all the topics like arts, Business & Economics, Design & Technology, Drama English, Geography, History, Computing, Maths, Spanish, French German, PE. Music is one of the best specialities of this scool. We encourage pupils to take part in this programme because this is for us as important for the development of the pupils as the sport.
The Football programme will be supervised by Phil Wymer. According to the age, footballers will practice either in the school or with the pupils of Hillsborough.
